I was editing some files in Parley for my kids to be done this summer, they don't like paper work and if I create exercises for them, well then they are also available for translation and use by anyone else. Now the funny bit happened: my daughter saw me looking at the book for the summer exercises and saw me editing so she came along "may I do that" ... and well, I said "if you wish, of course" ... and there we went on ... she took my netbook with the latest svn version of Parley and simply went on with what I was doing: creating exercises. A bit later my son came along ... uhmmmm ... his sister with mom's netbook? There was something terribly wrong. He had a look and I got a "mom, I want to do that as well" ... so now we have the competition of who may create how much of an exercise on mom's netbook ... but besides that competition, there is one central meaning coming out of my experience:
"Editing Parley ... it's so easy that kids can do!"
